2007 RAM 2500/3500

LIVING LARGE
A heavy-duty truck needs to handle a tough, heavy-duty workload.
You won’t have to worry about the Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks living up to
your expectations with their combination of horsepower, torque, towing, and payload capacity.
Check out the bold look and powerful performance of Dodge Ram 2500/3500.
• Interior and Exterior Features
• Design & Technology

RAM 2500/3500 FEATURES

TOWING
Whether you choose the short (6-foot, 4-inch) box or the long (8-foot) box, you can
pull a whole haul of a lot with Ram heavy-duty trucks. How much? Try up to 5,110
pounds of payload when properly equipped.

SNOWPLOW
You need the most power possible when tackling those
giant snowdrifts, icy driveways, snow-covered parking
lots, and rugged back roads. So having the most
powerful heavy-duty truck on the road makes perfect
sense.

HYDROFORMING
We’ve limited traditional stamping
and welding on our truck frames
— hydroforming is here. This means
that Ram’s bones are molded with highly
pressurized water, a revolutionary
manufacturing process that’s not only more
cost-effective, but adds structural benefits
that kick some competitor butt:
  • Greater strength and impact absorption
  • Fewer welds for even more durability
  • Stronger and stiffer for a more solid feel

LONGEST LASTING
How can a new truck be the longest lasting? Simple. Ram heavy-duty models are part of the long line of Ram
trucks that, after twenty years, are still on the road. This next generation adds the longest-lasting brakes
available and the ultradurable HEMI® and Cummins® turbo diesel engines to the family tree.

FOUR REAL DOORS

RAM 2500/3500 DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
Rear doors that open 85 degrees separate the all-new Ram Heavy Duty Quad
Cab® from the pack. An opening that wide makes entry and exit much easier than
most other trucks. The forward-hinged doors also feature high-strength beams for
increased side-impact protection.

CAB SIZES
Loading up your gear is easy, thanks to the space in a
Quad Cab® or Regular Cab Ram heavy-duty truck. The
two rear doors open up to 85 degrees so you can easily
store your gear in the rear of the Quad Cab. The Regular
Cab offers ample storage space behind the front seats,
too.  Remember to properly secure all cargo.

INTERIOR
If you’re talking interior conveniences, you’re talking a Ram heavy-duty truck. For
instance, cargo that can’t go in the bed stores easily in the rear of the cab with
the available flat-load floor—and we mean easily: Quad Cab® rear doors open 85
degrees. Remember to properly secure all cargo.
There’s more:
  • Best-in-class interior space*
  • Full-size bed
  • Available business console for laptop, cell phone, and more
  • Full-drop rear windows on Quad Cab
  • Tie-down cleats in truck bed
  • Optional power-adjustable pedals
  • Power sunroof available on Quad Cab
  • SIRIUS® satellite radio
* Compared to competitive extended cab models.

AIR BAGS
The Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy duty trucks
feature optional supplemental side-curtain air bags*
(the only heavy-duty pickups with this feature), child
seat anchors, crush zones, and high-strength steel door
beams for all four doors.
*Always sit properly in the seat with seat belt fastened.

I thought the box was 6'3" not 6'4", I'll have to measure it sometime.

My manual says 6'3" it's probably just a typo.  Do you guys know if the frame on my mega is the same one that's used on these HD trucks?  I'm wondering since it's not the same as other 1500s that I've seen.

I've measured mine to 6'4", and the new Ram is going to have a 6'4" bed.  I doubt that chrysler would change the bed length for just 1 inch.

It wouldn't cost that much more to make the bed 1 inch longer.  They redid the rest of the truck, I doubt they'd leave the bed the same length when it'd going to be pressed from completely different stamps this time around.

I agree, the current specs of the Ram would have nothing to do with the specs on the next gen Ram (other than HP/towing capacity/torque - those will all be higher).
