Thanks to the news that scroll across the top here I know that my vehicle has a recall on it.  Would be nice to have more details about dates of vehicles produced and whatnot.  Sounds like nothing serious but I don't like seeing my ride on the recall list.  Lame.

This one sounds very minor.  Not something a lot of auto makers would issue a recall over.  Have you ever been in an accident because of being locked out or in your car.  The formula usually goes like this: multiply the number of expected issues by the amount of the average lawsuit settlement the customer could get out of it, if that number is less than the cost of issuing a recall then don't do the recall.  Many times this can lead to cars on the road being a danger to their driver and others.  In this case I think the New Chrysler looked at this and decided they want to keep their customers happy, a move I think every automaker should be doing IMO.

If yer locked in I could see heat exhaustion being an issue, though I'd imagine that you could just roll down the windows and climb out that way.  Either way I agree with your sentiment.

Don't worry speed.  These cars are as good as the new toyotas or hondas.  I've got over 150k miles on my 95 concord and it still rides great.  Toyota just recalled 55k vehicles for floor mats, everyone has these little issues, but the big 3 automakers have their problems more criticized by the media.
