Brakes?

Hey guys, my D is hitting around 40k miles soon. I am thinking about getting the brakes checked but I was wondering if anyone here thought that it would be a waste of time.

It depends on the driving that you do. 40k miles if its mostly city and towing miles might be overdue. I drive all highway miles and tow only a few times a year so I expect my brakes will last over 60k miles.
PS it's never a waste of time to have a shop inspect your brakes. These things are one of the most important safety features on you vehicle.

What he said. You can never be too safe when it comes to these parts of your car.

Get them checked, it'll cost $20 and give you piece of mind.

I finally got them checked out this past weekend and they said that my brakes should be good for another 10k miles if I keep my driving habits the same. I had them replace the brakes anyways since I don't want to have to worry about them.
