I know that I don't have the most horsepower out there so I don't actively go out looking for a race but today I got one.  I was at a stoplight on a 4 lane road that went down to 2 lanes a 1/4 mile after the intersection.  Well I start out like a normal human being when the light goes green but the civic next to me took off like a bat out of hell.  I don't know what got me but I didn't want to be lunch for a civic so I punched it.  He had 2 car lenghts on me after the intersection but I caught him within a few seconds and easily passed him before the road went down to 2 lanes.

I know that I should be telling you that you could kill people when you do stupid things like that, but I'm not gonna.  From what you described you guys didn't even seem to get up to really high speeds.  It was more of an acceleration competition than anything.  Every now and then I get an import revving their engine at me.  When I rev back they usually quiet down.  I think they want to flex their muscle and think that my extra weight makes up for their lack of hp.  Sometimes you just have to teach them that an import should be bragging about their mpgs, not their 0-60.

Nice work.  I know sometimes guys in their GM trucks will rev their engines at me lookin for a race but I let em go by.  I usually have a load in the bed when that happens and I have no desire to prematurely destroy my transmission just for some bragging rights.  I need this truck to give me a lot of years.  Now if I can get a challenger then I'd be revving that engine at every dimwit out there Cheesy

Nice work.  I've taken a couple imports in my 4 banger stratus.  Though it was because they didn't know how to drive their manual and I did Cool a kill is a kill though.

Nice work, I wonder if the CVT in my little ride would help me or hurt me during acceleration.  Well, doesn't matter I guess.  I have a CVT which means my car is nerdier than any import out there Cool

Nice work man.  I can still get up on some of the imports these days in my 95 concord.  It's got the v6 in it so it does have some power.

How the hemi are you?

Good work.  I took the hemi badges off my charger so I get riced out imports trying to race me all the time.  If the conditions are safe enough I give em a run and they always get a good view of my back bumper Cool

I've smoked a few imports myself.  Those titans and tundras aren't as fast as their owners say they are.

No kidding, I get titan guys revving at me all the time.  The only thing they see is my tailgate after that.

I hate it when people do that 'all the time'.  There are few times and places that I would consider racing someone.  Most of the time that people want to race me is during rush hour when there's tons of people around.  No way I'm going to race in that situation.  You can be a great driver and still kill someone.

It seems to me that the only time that I get challenged is when I obvously have a load in the bed.  Most people are afraid of the hemi Cool

Same here.  Too many kids wanting to race me.  I'm still young myself, but I know a lot better than to race someone on a busy street.  Look at what happened to Nick Hogan, he's 17 and pretty much killed his passenger because he was being and idiot.

I love watching that Hogan knows best show.  For a big time wrestler he's a pretty down to earth guy.  His kids are both spoiled bastards, but if I had the money I would open those kinds of doors to my kids too.

His kid just went to jail and they issued a real deutche baggy press statement about the car accident.  I don't know if spoiling the kid rotten alone did it, but a life with no consequences probably did.  He's got a history of making bad decisions and breaking the law with no negative consequences.  Enough of that will get a man (or his passenger) killed.
