Instead of taking a large sedan and slapping the charger name on it, chrysler should've gone the route that ford did with the mustang.  Today the front end looks a bit dated, but back in 99 this would've been the muscle car to beat on the road.

That would've been a sweet ride back in 99.  All they'd have to do is update the front end a bit and it would still be the only muscle car for me.

I think this plus the new challenger would have the dodge name at the top of the muscle car hill.

Looks too ricey to me, but this was back in 99 and all the muscle cars back then had the snake face.  It would've sold well if daimler could've taken their heads out of their butts.

I thought so too when I first took a look at it, but if you compare it to the mustang from those years the front end is about right:

It looks more aggressive than the 'stang did in 99 and it still looks like the front end of the times.

Every time I see one of those mid/late 90s mustangs I want to throw up a bit in my mouth.  Not much good came out of the 80s or 90s in terms of car design.

The 90s weren't bad for car design, but everyone just looked the same.  Mustang looked like the concord looked like the impala looked like the camry etc.  We are actually getting some good authentic home style design going on the dodge line of late and especially with the challenger.  Cars these days acutally have some style Cool

You have a point about all the cars looking the same, but I'm not with you on the 90s being good for car design.  They were pretty good for truck/other big vehicle design because that's what everyone was buying and they make more money on bigger vehicles.
