No, that's just nonsense. They wouldn't make 2 versions of the 4.7. That would cost too much $$ at the factory. Just build the one and be done with it.
Maybe they had a bunch of the old 4.7L left over. Like 1/2 of all 1500s sold have hemis in them, and the 4.7 would split the rest of the sales with the 3.7L. I don't think they'd make two different engines either, but if they had a big surplus then I don't think there'd be an issue.
