Knowing is half the battle

I think this looks like a mini version of the commander.  Personally I like this version better, jeep was never meant to be a behemoth.

Its not that great an off roader though.  Its built on a car frame.  It might as well be huge since it couldnt go half the places a wrangler could.  But I do agree with your thoughts, I like this look on a smaller vehicle.

A lot of the jeeps are that way now.  4wd is offered in all of them, but none of them are as capable as the wrangler.

The wrangler and the old jeep trucks are the only things that I would consider 'true' jeeps.  The rest are more than capable 4x4 vehicles, but not as capable as the wrangler is.

Anything with the Jeep logo on it is a 'true' jeep.  Purists piss me off.  The company decided that selling only one vehicle was a bad idea, they could make a few more and make more money, what's wrong with that?  At least they still offer a jeep that has the capabilities the old ones do.

I get the same flack when I talk to older idiots about my hemi.  They're response is: well its only a semi hemi because it's not a fully hemispherical head blah blah blah.  I tell them that it makes a lot of damn power and torque and is pretty darn good as far as gas engines are concerned.  The original hemi rewrote the rule book on engines, just because this one doesn't isn't a reason to dog on it.

If jeep is going to offer non jeepworthy vehicles then the least they could do is make them fuel efficient.

The patriot and the compass get 30 mpg, that's pretty good if you ask me.

jeep.com/en/performance - at least do some homework before making statements like that.
