How often do you guys change the air filters for your vehilces?  I am coming up on 6 months owned and 15k miles on the car soon and I was thinking now would be a good time.  If for nothing else than to keep up the mileage and performance of the vehicle.

Just follow the manual and you'll be fine.  The regularly scheduled maintenance is regularly scheduled for a reason.

I've had a friend of mine say that you don't get the best performance out of your 'stuff' on the car in the first 100 miles, it needs time to 'break in' so changing my filter every 100 miles would be negative net effect according to my friend.  Is this an easy thing to do?  How much does it cost?
