The Aspen and the Town and Country are comparable family vehicles, which would you choose if you need the 3rd row of seating?

I'm not a minivan person myself.  But with gas prices the way they are today I'd want to wait to get the Hybrid Aspen (possibly wait until there's a cummins diesel in it as well) for comparable mileage.

why not get the minivan for practical use (if you had one) and then a truck for towing?

When the new cummins engines go in the durango and aspen they'll be towing machines too.  It may surprise you to find out that the best configuration for the aspen nets you a tow rating that's 400 lbs more than the best configuration for the 1500.

As the voice of reason   :Smiley (or something near insanity) I would like to place my vote for the minivan.  As the mother of three with only the standard equipment (two eyes and two arms and not quite enogh patience) there is a lot to be said for the convenience of sa buton that opens the doors and back hatch.

I'm still waiting for all that convenience in the Ram.  That way the wife can't say no to it Cool

Family does come first, but it'd be nice to have all that and tow a good size camper without worrying about the transmission.  I can't wait to build some of the new minivans to see what the towing capacities will be.  Maybe a better option will present itself soon.   Wink

That's true.  I guess I'm just used to buying used as hell vehicles so the payment isn't that bad Grin
