and next to me is a civic with the coffee can muffler.  He starts revving at me, mind you this is on a street that has been snowed on recently.  The guy takes off at green and I give it about 1/2 throttle to make it look like I was giving him a race but I didn't want to because there was a cop in plain site just down the road.  Of course the cop lights up, the best part is the guy went into the ditch making his way over to the shoulder.  I hate those import idiots as much as the next red blooded american but even I know when to leave it alone  Cool

Hehe nice.  I don't get many race requests from ricers unless they have NOS to blow.  I've had a couple of them get up on me like they wanted to race from the light and take off.  I just let them go, gotta save that stupid stuff for the track where it counts.

Way to excersise restraint.  Most of those little ricers have nothing but a bunch of speed stickers and a coffee can muffler.  They aren't fast.  You woulda beat him but you let the law beat him instead Grin

Those guys are really tempting when they get me at the lights.  I usually smoke them up through 2nd and then let off the gas to avoid tickets.  Idiots most of them are...

Good call letting the 5-0 take care of him.  I hope he thinks twice about racing from now on.

You guys wouldn't believe how good the cops are at being in areas that people like to drag in.  Some intersections lend more to it than others and they know the times of day to be there to catch the guys.  My philosophy is to keep it to the track and let the traps do the talking.  Very rarely would I put the rubber down on a city street.

I'm pretty good friends with my neighbor that's a street cop around town.  He says that people always call up the station with complaints about drag racing.  From what he's said those idiots will race anywhere they can find a stretch of road that's straight for 1/4 and doesn't have any intersections.  Many that he listed were in residential areas...

The only thing better than smoking some dumbass kid in his 97 civic with a coffee can muffler is watching them get pulled over by the cops.

I don't blame you.  If I had kids no one would do anything stupid in my neighborhood without me telling them about it.  Luckily I live on a pretty windy road so no one even tries to race around me.

Good for you, personally I hate people that toy around in a heavy machine.  You wouldn't horse around in a forklift would you???  A car is no different, it's a means of conveyance and doesn't needed to be treated any differently.  Racing them down the street just wastes fuel and endangers lives.

Now that I think about it most people don't consider a car to be heavy machinery.  Lots of people I know take pills that cause drowsyness and then go out and drive.  I guess we just don't think about these things.

Thats the truth.  Most people take their cars for granted.  They want to go some where, doesn't matter if they're high or drunk they just get up and go.  Everyone feels like they have the right to do anything with their cars whether or not they put others in danger.  It's a ridiculous mindset but it's a prevalent one.
