Now that I think about it most people don't consider a car to be heavy machinery.  Lots of people I know take pills that cause drowsyness and then go out and drive.  I guess we just don't think about these things.

Thats the truth.  Most people take their cars for granted.  They want to go some where, doesn't matter if they're high or drunk they just get up and go.  Everyone feels like they have the right to do anything with their cars whether or not they put others in danger.  It's a ridiculous mindset but it's a prevalent one.

That's the mentality for everyone these days.  They feel that since because they did the work to get the car and pay for the gas they have the unalienable right to use it whenever they want regardless of the state that they're in.  No one wants to admit that those rights end when you put other people in danger.  I just read about some theives placing an ad on craigslist saying that a guys stuff was free for the taking.  Over thirty people showed up and took his things, when he tried to stop them they showed him the ad and said that they had the right to take his things because of the posting.  Ridiculous.
