So I went to the dealer today to look for a new version of my car and found out that the only stratus vehicles on the lot were used.  Apparently dodge doesn't make them anymore, why not?

They just changed the name to Avenger.  I guess there's enough difference from this year and last that they wanted to call it something completely different.  It's basically just a seabring with dodge emblems on it.

It uses the same frame, chassis, and shares many of the engine set ups, but the avenger looks nothing like the new seabring inside or out.  That's a good thing, too many manufacturers just slap a different name and badge on the vehicle and call it a different car (think mercury mountaineer and ford explorer).  I think this is the reason plymouth was closed.  Just about every plymouth vehicle was just a different badge, not even a different name half the time.
