There's a daytona ram for sale in my area.  It's an '05 with around 30k miles on it.  I like the color (orange) but I don't like the wing on the back.  My questions are:

Is the daytona a race truck?  Is it likely to have been abused for racing?

Can I take the spoiler off?

How good are the rams when it comes to reliability and maintenance?

What about this hemi tick thing?  I don't know if this truck has that, but I don't want it to develop a tick.

The daytona is a special edition of the ram 1500.  Some people buy for racing, most just buy it for the looks.  When buying a used truck you could flip a coin to decide whether or not it was abused in some way, shape, or form.

The spoiler attaches to the bed through the post holes, yes you can take it off with a screw driver.

The rams are as good as any other car or truck on the road in terms of reliability.  Maintenance is on par with any other truck.

The hemi tick is just part of the motor.  It doesn't hurt anything.  I've had 3 of the new hemi's so far and none of them have developed the tick.  It's not a garaunteed thing when getting a hemi.

The hemi is one of the best motors available for trucks today.  Get it and never look back  Grin
