It looks like the Ram/Dakota are the most deadly vehicles to the people in the other vehicle in an accident.  They seem to be about average in terms of how safe they are for the people inside the Ram.

Interesting, I suppose it makes sense though.  Every time I see an accident with a Ram involved I can easily tell the Ram won that accident.  These trucks are built tough Cool

Good to know the wrangler is safe to other drivers at least, this thing is a deathtrap in an accident if you ask me Grin  I didn't buy it for the safety though, it needs to be small to hit up the trails.

Wow there are some surprises in that graph.  I fully expected the expedition/suburban to be a lot more deadly than they are.

Same here, wonder what's so different about the dakota/ram vs those 2 vehicles?

Probably lack of crumple zones or something similar.

My truck has a crumple zone up front.  Maybe our frame is just that much stronger or something.

I talked to a lot of people before I bought my truck about reliability and maintenance.  Most of them came back and had a few problems with theirs  but no one had major problems with their rams.  Then I saw an accident with a Ram and a chevy  and the Ram faired far better in the accident, that pretty much sealed the deal for me.  I want reliable and safe and the Ram is that.

Best truck on the road right now IMO, you can't get a better diesel or gas truck for the money.  Good choice;.
