Looks like it'll be beefy like all the HD guys like.  And having the meanest truck on the road is what it's all about Grin

That thing already looks *y under the camo.  It looks like they're keeping the same bed for the HDs from the 3rd gen rams, weird.

I have a neighbor that swears by the Ford HD trucks.  I've been in it once, and while I think it's one of the nicest trucks I've been I also think that the Ram is better.  Sure the Ford might have a better interior but it doesn't have the same power that the Ram is known for.  Maybe this one will change his mind.

I like the beefyness  already.  I doubt anyone will come close to something as profound as the new ram, no one has come up with anything better than the current ram so far.  I think this truck will be copied by all others again.

Looks like it'll have the same style grill and headlights of the 1500 but maybe a bit taller.  I like the new mirrors.

The new mirrors are about the only thing you can definately make out in this.  I agree with you.  The current tow mirrors have that convex part in the corner and it's not big enough.  The top part of that corner is so small it's worthless and the rounded part is too small to see what yer towing.  I think it'll look a lot like the 09 Ram too, and along with a taller stance it'll look beefier.

You guys think those will work with the 3rd gen rams?  I don't have the tow mirrors and I'm thinking of getting them but if the current ones don't provide much value then I might as well not get em.  If the new ones are a lot better they would be good to get, but would they fit?  I know I see some of the current tow mirrors on the older style Rams so maybe those fittings never get changed.

Well the fittings might work but it looks like the rounded part is completely separate from the mirror and might be on separate controls.  It also looks like there's a light in the mirror.  My guess is that if it fits those features won't work with it since you'd need new wiring for it.

btw - the current tow mirrors are a huge upgrade from the standard mirrors.  I had the dealer put tow mirrors on my truck but they had to order them, took about a week to get them in.  The difference between that first week and the second is night and day.  When you're towing something wide you can flip the tow mirrors out to get a much better picture of everything on the sides of you.

I agree with raman.  The current tow mirrors are a huge upgrade from those little mouse ears they put on.  They make yer truck look better and you can see a lot more with them.

Those things are HUUUUUUGE.  I can see they're comparing the new HD to the current Rams.  Maybe the new HDs will look a bit more like the current Ram than the new 1500 does.  Either way they'll probably look pretty damn good.

I doubt that.  The reason they compare current vs new is to make sure the new ones are as good if not better than the current ones.  Yer right though, they are huge Grin

If I ever get rid of my truck I might have to get into a HD Ram.  I know the differences are subtle, but one of the reasons I bought the megacab is that it looked a bit beefier than the qc 1500s.  Now that I have it I don't know if I could go back to a non HD truck.

I've noticed those subtle differences too.  Like the IFS and even the stance is a couple inches lower than the HDs.  I dunno if that's a big enough difference to make my decision for me though.
