How the hemi are you?

« on: July 24, 2008 »

There was a chrysler 'cuda at last years sema show.  Now some are talking about bringing back the old road runner.  While it would be great to see a challenger/cuda/road runner/(2 door) charger in the line up I don't know if that'll happen.  It would be sweet though Cool

Now that's another good looking car.  Didn't we see a 'cuda at a show last year too???  I'm forgetting how many muscle cars chrysler had back in the day.  No one could touch them now, there's at least 4 good names for muscle car choices to make em from.  I doubt they'd make all 4, hell we're lucky to have a charger and a challenger.  If we could get a cuda or a road runner we should be thankful.  I hope they do, those cars can be good on gas and look great at the same time.  There might actually be a need for more cars like this.

I don't get the headlights.  They're just outlines of what looks like there should be headlights.  Unless those things down at the bottom are supposed to be the headlights, but they look more like fogs to me.  I don't really like the look either, too ricer.

The great thing about concepts is that they don't have to be street legal.  They'd probably just tint the headlights for a production model so it still looks the same.  Assuming the production model would look anything like that.  We have too many muscle cars on the road as it is anyways.

I like it, but I don't think chrysler could make it.  It's not big enough to be on the lx platform and it would cost too much to bring to production on the smaller platforms.

To me it's too 'new' and not enough retro.  I was never a huge fan of the road runner but I still knew a good looking car when I saw one.  This 'new' road runner is just like the 'new' camaro.  It kind of looks like the old one but it doesn't really capture the car.

Seriously, how is this:

There's 4 headlamps?  Grin  Seriously though, I understand where you're coming from and I agree with you for the most part.  But you can't just make the car look exactly like the old one, you have to do some restyling of it.  The new challenger looks like the old one, same for the mustang.  But they also look different and the new ones look better imo.

The challenger is also fat compared to the old one.  Everyone's problem with it is weight, find a way to lose 500 lbs and you have a certified monster instead of a certified fat monster.
