Holy crap that's a truck. Those things are huge, and those guys are nuts. Who the hell spends (probably) 30k outfitting a truck just so you can drive it up a volcano.

Those aren't jeeps, jeeps don't have a bed behind the cab, at least not anymore...
These are icelandic jeeps

The reason jeeps are better off road is size. They have a shorter wheel base making them better at going over obstacles and they can get in and out of small places a lot easier than a truck can.
