Hi Ho is a Dodge Ram 3500 Super Duty, with the 5.9-liter Hemi augmented by a twin-turbo kit from Russell Banks and some ECU modifications. That's about all that's been done to the engine, but underneath, where there's enough space to park a smart car and have a cookout, it's all Frankenstein.

Holy crap that's a truck.  Those things are huge, and those guys are nuts.  Who the hell spends (probably) 30k outfitting a truck just so you can drive it up a volcano.

Those aren't jeeps, jeeps don't have a bed behind the cab, at least not anymore...

These are icelandic jeeps

It's now become a pissing contest between the truck guys and the jeep guys as to which vehicle is better offroading.  Both are equally awesome in my book.

The reason jeeps are better off road is size.  They have a shorter wheel base making them better at going over obstacles and they can get in and out of small places a lot easier than a truck can.
