Not everyone goes to sites like this though.  Most people that own a vehicle are going to want to repair it back to stock condition, not get some cai or other exhaust.  Custom vehicles aren't worth as much.

That's true, most people would rather just put factory parts back on it.  You can't return a custom lease vehicle, it has to be stock.  That's 20% of the market right there.

I know a few people that lease vehicles and then return them to the dealer all modified.  The dealer usually frowns on that but they don't get knocked for it since the mods are usually worth more than the stock parts.

Yeah, the notes you guys can get out of those gas engines are about the only thing that make me envy you.  My diesel can't sounds like that.

But you can get other sounds out of diesels that you can't out of gassers.  The diesel is great for low rumbling that drowns out dumbass ricer stereos.

I say you can get the same low rumbles with the correct set up from a gasser.  It's about the size of the tailpipe combined with other harmonics as the exhaust leaves the engine.  The diesel isn't that much bigger, there's no reason a gasser can't get those same low notes.
