I've had them on for a while now, I did notice the truck respond better to the gas peddle.  I haven't noticed much in terms of mileage, maybe .5 - 1 mpg but that's hard to determine.

So you plug that straight into the hemi?  Where did you get those things?  And how much were they?

Yes, the powerwire is plugged into the air temp censor.  According to the maker it causes the computer to think the air temp is 20* cooler than it actually is causing the computer to either lean out or enrich the gas mixture depending on how hard the throttle is pressed.  You can find them at www.airram.com  Cost was 90$ for the combined items.

Have you noticed any difference towing?

I haven't really towed anything yet.  I do notice when I start the truck early in the morning the engine starts a lot louder, that only seems to happen when it's cold out.

That's a pretty good price if it does what the website says it does.  Sounds like it does make a difference to the engine if the engine is louder when you start in the cold.

What is the scoop thing supposed to do?  Looks like it just directs airflow away from your radiator...

Those look really simple to do.  Does anyone know if there are mods like that for the avenger/seabring?  I could do some of that.

I haven't heard of any on all the boards I visit.  Don't feel bad though, there's nothing like this out there for the diesel trucks either.

There's always simple cheap things you can do.  Don't get fooled by products that claim an extra 5 mpg that only cost 20$, if they actually worked it would come from the factory that way.  I'm sure you could find a cheap intake on ebay that'll fit your car.  Or you could always make one yourself.

Yeah I see those on ebay all the time.  I haven't had much luck finding a knock off cai or any kind of tuner for my car.  Guess there's not much aftermarket potential for my car.  I don't think I'd trust a homemade intake or anything else, my skills aren't that great and then I couldn't place the blame on anyone but myself Grin

I've been thinking of buying a knock off from ebay.  Does anyone have any experience with these?

The knock offs are made of cheap metal, they warp pretty fast.  I would spend the cash to get a good quality one.

Don't be ignorant.  They all use stainless steel.  K&N just charges you 350$ because they can, there's got to be 300% mark up in the parts for that.

I just got these and put them on.  Thanks for the pics 06, it would've taken me a lot longer to find the actual plug for the powerwire.  That thing is hidden away underneath some hose.  The jet scoop was an easy install.  So far I haven't noticed a lot but I'm driving with a light foot.  I did notice that my highway mpg has gone up about .5 so that's a plus.
