Looks like this guy doesn't really know how to hook up a gooseneck trailer.

I didn't think I'd ever see someone as dumb as this.  That's pretty damn funny, I hope they throw the book at him.

And he's got stupid baller wheels on the thing too.  Don't tow things your vehicle isn't rated for, it only puts people in danger.

Ouch, I suppose in a pinch if you're not going very far and you can stay on back roads that using the bumper ball is ok.  Installing a gooseneck is pretty spendy for someone that thinks they'll only use it once.  But to tow some cars like that on a main road is irresponsible, especially with a 1/2 ton truck.

LOL even I know that a gooseneck trailer should be anchored over the axle.  This guy needs some help.

Towing like that is something I'd only do on non public roads if there was no other way to get it done.  That just looks like a good way to f*ck up your truck.

I hope they throw the book at this guy.  Not only is he towing a gooseneck the wrong way, but there's no way his rear axle is rated for it, his tires are rated for it, or his frame is rated for it.  No way.  Tow within your means people, you might as well be drunk if you're not going to.

Yeah this is pretty funny.  I've actually had a neighbor ask if I could tow a gooseneck for him and I had to turn him down.  He ended up renting a bumper trailer instead.  I've never seen a gooseneck attached this way, I didn't think the bumper balls were big enough.

He at least got arrested.  From what I've read one of the cars on the trailer was stolen.  Dunno if he stole it but he sure as hell was transporting it wrong.

I've also had people ask if I can tow a trailer for them.  I usually tell them yes if they'll pay for the install of the gooseneck/5th wheel and I get to keep it.  If you're not set up for that trailer it's going to be dangerous.  I don't have either a gooseneck set up or a 5th wheel set up so I end up having to turn most people down.  I'm not going to risk my truck, my economic well being, and anything else for anyone.  That guy might as well be drunk going down the road in terms of safety and liability.

It can't be that bad to install a gooseneck hitch.  How much are they?

The hitch itself isn't that expensive, you should plan to pay a few hundred for it.  But the install is messy.  I had one on my last truck for a work trailer, I got a new trailer before I got this truck so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

I few hundred for the hitch?  That's not bad.  Why is the install messy?  Can it be done by someone that has some experience?
