Don't get me wrong, the new truck looks good.  But I was hearing that it is supposed to be a revolutionary new truck.  I saw one at the dealer yesterday and it looked a lot like the old trucks from the 90s but with a slanted grill.  I was hoping for something that stood out more, something that said Dodge is really changing the game.  Not something that looks like a cross between the 90s Ram and the tundra with a Ford body.

It takes a while for the new ram to really look good to you.  On a positive side the new Ram is buildable on dodge.com.  Going to build one now.

I didn't like the look of the new Ram and I still don't.  I don't like how the hood is curved and how the headlights basically make it look like a crying pig.  But you have to give it credit for a great interior and improved ride and improved performance.

I feel that way about most new vehicles that come out.  I think the new Volt looks pretty bland.  I think it's because when you don't know what a vehicle is going to look like you get an idea in your mind and then it never comes close to what you had pictured.

I kinda feel the same way.  Though I don't think it looks like a crying pig, it just doesn't look fast and agile.  More like slow and tough.  But that's what a truck is supposed to look like.  Overall it's a good move for Dodge, it won't piss off too many people and it'll grow on a lot more.  They'll sell a lot of this truck.

I've seen a few in person and I have to say it looks a bit better in person.  I'm still not convinced though.  I think the interior will overpower any issue I have with the exterior though.

Are you kidding, the new Ram is easily the best looking truck on the road right now.  I haven't seen any in person but I can tell you that it looks a lot better than the toyota turd or f150.  GM doesn't seem to even care about looks.

Dodge did play it safe.  But the subtle differences that were made are enough to win over the next set of truck owners out there.  Current owners are likely brand specific anyways, and if they aren't then the more they see the Ram the more it'll grow on them.  By making the front end look different from ford or gm they have made the truck look different in general.  Owners like to feel that their baby is unique in every way so they'll flock to the new Ram when they see how different it is from the competition.

How the hemi are you?

I like the new truck.  It looks more like a muscle car which is the way to go instead of trying to make the muscle cars look more like trucks.  The thing just exudes power and personality.

I don't think they played it safe at all.  Going with the coil rear springs was ballsy.  The new look is refined too, no more huge nose up front.  That's a big difference.  They rolled the dice and I think they won.

Not that many people buying trucks these days are using them as trucks.  It's going to be looks and ride, coil spring rear axle is the safe bet.

That might have been the case 3 years ago but these days no one is buying new cars.  And the people that are aren't buying trucks as grocery getters.  People are buying minivans for the mileage and utility, people are back to buying suvs or crossovers.  Mostly they're back to buying little teeny tiny cars.  Anyone buying a truck these days probably needs to use it as a truck.  It might not have been ballsy when they started the new Ram but it sure is ballsy now.

There's still a lot of people out there that are buying vehicles that they have no business buying.  The kind of people buying up cadillacs and lincolns but want a truck now have a pretty good option.
