It's long been thought that Chrysler will redesign the Charger and 300 for 2010 but this is the first time that Chrysler has publicly stated that it will do so.

Quote
"In the pipeline for 2010: A brand new 300, a brand new Charger ... a brand new Jeep, the pipeline is full, plus we have these smaller vehicles coming through partnerships and alliances," Nardelli said. "I think the product cadence at Chrysler is coming back strong."

Chrysler has a lot of new vehicles coming down the pipeline for that year.  Along with a new heavy duty Ram, Grand Cherokee, and small Nissan built car, Chrysler has an Electric car coming to market from its ENVI division (we don't know which one will come out first).  They'll also have a hybrid version of the Ram and are supposed to have a small diesel ready for the 1/2 ton Ram in 2010.

I wonder how they'll look.  Gilles said that they're done with the edge look, that makes both cars look a lot different since both are on the edge look.

That's good, those cars are getting long in the tooth.  They need a redo.

A new charger that still has 4 doors?  I hope they're going to put a stick in it, most muscle car people won't buy it if it doesn't have a stick.

I bet they make a 2 door version and a 4 door version.  Lots of people don't car that it's a 'muscle car' and buy it based on the merits of it's quality and looks.  Others will buy it because it's a charger and they want a muscle car, but muscle cars don't have 4 doors.  I think they'll have both.

Same here, GM will have the camaro and probably firebird soon out.  Ford has the mustang, chrysler needs to unleash the charger in all it's glory, and that won't be until it's a 2 door car.
