I'm seeing reports around the web that the light duty CTD engines that are going to be in the new Dodge Ram and some of the SUVs are being pushed out a year.  The reasons are tough CAFE standards, right now the 6.7L CTD is the only diesel that meets all 50 states requirements for 2010.  The new CTD engines will have to use the same technology, that requires a redesign of the system and more testing.

I don't expect this to impact sales of the Ram too much, GM and Ford have pushed their programs back as well.  And I don't think that gas will get expensive in the future while diesel remains low (as it should) in price.  I'd expect diesel to remain a dollar or more above gas as gas takes the hike back up.
