How the hemi are you?

« on: September 01, 2009 »

I still have a couple years left on my loan for my Charger so my purchase is still a ways down the road - so to speak.  But I had to go and drive a Challenger as soon as I could.  I was easily impressed by the chally, and the new Hemi is noticably faster than the one in my Charger.  So I see a lot of guys on the Camaro forums bashing the R/T saying that you need to get the SRT to compare the the Camaro while the Camaro is cheaper.

So I went out and test drove a Camaro V8.  The thing is Fast, the butt dyno says that it's a little faster than the R/T.  It handles like a dream too, probably at least as good as the chally.  But it's also a lot smaller, you don't get as much car which is why it's cheaper.  You get what you pay for I guess.  The chally might be a bit slower and handle a tad poorer, but it also has a much much bigger back seat.  Nothing there that I saw that would sway me against the R/T.
