I've noticed that toyota has large increase in sales of the tundra.  How many of those people do you think will stay import after their purchase?

I'd guess that 1/2 of those people are toyota nuts and now have a truck that they can drive and the other half are just checking it out.  Those guys will switch around when the next new big rig comes out.

I think most of these people in the tundras aren't using them as trucks.  They use them as soccer mom vehicles, and therefore wont test the ability of the truck, and therefore dont count as trucks.  They're just glorified station wagons with an open back.

Just because I drive my kids to soccer in my truck does not mean that it's not a truck- course it's a dodge ram megacab- it's still a big grocery getter and soccer transport (which every once in while is expected to tow a friends truck to the shop)  Tongue

What's the saying?  Better to have more than you need most of the time than not enough some of the time Cool
