It'll be interesting to see how these hold up.  I'm tired of the prius/tiny car hybrids out there.  I want something that can tow my boat/camper and get me better mileage at the same time.  These tiny hybrid cars don't impress me.  A Jetta TDI gets around 50 mpg without the hybrid technology.  One less thing to worry about.

I think that partnering with GM so that we don't have to take on the entire cost was a good plan.  Chrysler is also taking their time to make sure this will work.  I tell you what, if I can get me a hybrid hemi with MDS when they do the refresh in 09 I'll be a happy camper.

Hopefully they can bring this platform to the smaller cars where this will actually make a difference.  30 mpg is nice, but the foreign cars are at 40 or more without hybrid systems.

I can only imagine how often the hemi in my 300 would be in 4 cylinder mode with at hybrid system in it.
